The Story
‘In 2020, we at Dick Macks pub bought our very first own label whiskey to the world, a Dingle single malt finished in the only marsala cask to have held Dingle whiskey. Now we are delighted to announce the launch of our latest collaborative venture, this time with the independent label, Redacted, and it is another first. Working from its inception with the creative spirits at Wild Whiskey Way, this is the first of only two sauternes casks to ever hold whiskey in Dingle distillery. This unique dessert wine cask added some sweetness and helped to keep this whiskey warm at night. We are launching this one again at cask strength. Being from the Ghaeltacht, we are very proud that this one is literally dressed in the Irish language and it is the oldest Dingle whiskey released to date at a mature 11 and a half years. We also believe that this is the only Irish whiskey to journey to the summit of Kilimanjaro in Africa, on September 06, 2025, spreading its wings far and wide. It is definitely the first whiskey to have journeyed to the summit of any mountain with its story told ‘As Gaeilge.’
We are delighted to have worked with Peter White of Wild Whiskey Way and the boys from Redacted to bring this rather rare and luxurious single malt to you all.
